Executive Summary
Development of a mobile platform for a telephony carrier focused on the female segment. The solution integrates telephony service management (recharges) with value-added modules in health, beauty, and a personal safety layer based on location features.
Organization Type and Context
A mobile telephony service operator in Mexico with a proposition centered on the needs and safety of women. The organization sought to extend its technological offering to provide daily utility tools beyond basic connectivity.
The Challenge
The client required a centralized interface that allowed users to manage their phone lines and access various services, while integrating functional safety tools for urban environments.
Why the Previous Approach Fell Short
Conventional telephony management tools are typically limited to balance inquiries. For this project, it was necessary to integrate safety features (such as panic buttons and geofences) that require specific location data management and an architecture capable of supporting user alerts.
The Solution
Enacment designed and built a mobile application for iOS and Android structured into the following modules:
1. Telephony Management: Network service administration and recharges.
2. Service Verticals: Modules for payments and health and wellness services.
3. Safety Layer: Implementation of GPS tracking features, a panic button for emergency contacts, and geofencing configuration for automatic alerts.
Systems and Integrations Involved
The technical infrastructure is based on:
* Backend: NodeJS and Firebase for data management and notification delivery.
* Location Intelligence: Integration of geolocation services for location monitoring and geofencing events.
* Frontend: Development based on Angular for mobile user interfaces.
Outcome and Impact
* Service Consolidation: Centralization of health, beauty, and payment services into a single tool.
* Functional Safety: Deployment of a tool with monitoring and alert capabilities for users.
* Brand Differentiation: Evolution of the telephony service into a utility and personal accompaniment platform.
Constraints or Caveats
Safety features depend on the availability of data signal and GPS on the device. The availability of third-party services (payments and health) is subject to integrations with the client's providers.
What This Case Proves
This case demonstrates Enacment's ability to develop custom mobile software that integrates mass-market services with safety and geolocation functions, managing data flows for specific use cases.
